About Me
Naomi
Owner of Aira Massage & Wellness KY
Licensed Massage Therapist #297150
I am the only & dedicated state of KY licensed Massage Therapist at my own practice.
As a proud graduate of Advanced Massage Therapeutics,
I specialize in both Relaxational Massage and Customized Therapeutic Massage, designed to promote deep relaxation while addressing underlying sources of pain.
At Aira Massage Wellness KY, every client begins with a Relaxational Massage—think of it like the "X-ray" of your wellness journey. While you relax, I use gentle palpation to assess your muscular health and gather valuable insights. This session allows me to identify patterns of tension and understand how your body responds to therapeutic touch, based on both your Health Intake Form and your real-time feedback.
If pain or discomfort continues to return, we can then transition to a Customized Therapeutic Massage, which is tailored specifically to target the area of chronic pain, muscle imbalances, or past injuries.
With a strong foundation in anatomy-based techniques, my goal is to help you achieve lasting relief, improved mobility, and whole-body wellness—starting with the care your body needs today.
Feel free to communicate your specific muscle needs within the required Health Intake Form (easy online form).

Custom Therapeutic Massage
(For Returning Clients Only)

When Relaxation Isn’t Enough—A Targeted, Therapeutic Approach
If you’ve received several Relaxational Massage sessions but still experience chronic pain or unresolved discomfort—especially from past injuries—it may be time to transition into a more clinical, treatment-based session.
While Relaxational Massage is faster-paced and covers the whole body to promote general wellness, Customized Therapeutic Massage is slower, deeper, and specifically designed to assess, treat, and support recovery in targeted problem areas.
These sessions include:
• Injury assessment and anatomical evaluation
• Swedish massage techniques to warm and relax tissue
• Deep tissue work, including Trigger Point Therapy and Myofascial Release
• Stretching and joint mobilization to improve range of motion
This integrative approach helps:
✅ A proactive approach to avoid invasive treatments
✅ Alleviate chronic pain
✅ Support faster functional recovery
✅ Improve mobility
✅ Promote injury prevention through ongoing care
This session is ideal for concerns such as:
• Tension headaches
• Whiplash and upper back strain
• Shoulder pain (Rotator cuff muscle pain)
• Lower back or hip pain
• Repetitive strain (tennis/golfer’s elbow, carpal tunnel)
• Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS)
• Ankle injuries or plantar fasciitis, etc. ( Please see more details in Health Intake Form below)
We recommend booking a 60- or 90-minute session to allow time for focused work and proper treatment planning.
⚠️ Please note: This is not a full-body massage, and it is not intended for first-time clients. This session is designed for returning clients who have already received a Relaxational Massage and require more specific care.
Let’s move beyond relaxation and start addressing the root of your discomfort—with focused, anatomy-informed care.
* Easy online Customized Therapeutic Massage Health Intake Form submission of this form is required 48 hours prior to your session.
Feel free to upload screenshot of MRI report from MyChart if you have.

FAQ
1. I regularly receive deep tissue massage elsewhere and my body is used to it. I’m not concerned about post-treatment soreness, and I’ve filled out both the Relaxational Massage Intake Form and the Customized Therapeutic Health Intake Form. Can I receive deep tissue work, especially around my shoulders?
-Yes! You are regularly receiving the Deep Tissue approach, your body is ready for it.
As long as both intake forms are completed with detailed information about your concerns, bodywork history, and preferences, I can tailor your session accordingly. For clients experienced with clinical-style work, I may incorporate focused techniques—such as deep tissue massage, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy—to address specific muscular concerns.
Please note: Deep Tissue Massage is not about strong or painful pressure.
It involves a slower, intentional approach that gradually sinks into deeper layers of muscle tissue to support lasting relief, rather than simply applying heavy force.
2. I'm very modest and not comfortable undressing, even with a sheet. Can you still give me a massage while I'm fully clothed?
- Absolutely.
I offer “dry massage” sessions where you can remain fully clothed. These focus on compression, kneading, and percussion techniques, similar to what’s used in corporate or sports massage. Lotion may be used sparingly on the neck or hands if needed, but no large areas (like the back) will involve gliding techniques.
Please write your preference in the intake form so I can prepare accordingly.
3. I can’t lie on my back due to pain, and I may need help communicating during the session. Can my spouse or caregiver assist me?
- Yes, accommodations can be made.
Side-lying massage is available for clients who can’t tolerate being on their back. This position is also used for prenatal sessions. or We could start session from face down position and see how it goes. Often, as your muscles begin to relax during the session, it becomes easier to adjust positions as needed.
While we generally limit guests in the room, caregivers or interpreters are welcome to quietly remain in the corner to assist when necessary. Please note that the therapist must have full focus and space to work effectively. Be sure to note this in your intake form.
4. I have trouble relaxing during neck massage.
- That’s totally normal! Your therapist may use gentle cues like “relax,” “play dead,” or “imagine being a wet noodle” to help you let go of tension. If you’re still unable to fully relax, we’ll simply move on to another area to make the best use of your time.
With practice, it often gets easier—just come with the intention to relax, and we’ll guide you through it.
5. Do I need to shower before my session?
- It’s strongly encouraged.
Since massage is a hands-on service, maintaining good hygiene is important for both you and the therapist. A daily shower is a basic standard. If you’ve showered earlier in the day and come straight from work, that’s perfectly fine—unless you’ve been exposed to dirt, sweat, or dust. Please help us keep our linens and floors clean by arriving fresh and clean.
6. Should I remove my accessories before the session?
-Yes, please.
Accessories can interfere with massage techniques and may get lotion on them. We recommend removing jewelry before arrival and storing it in your purse or personal bag. We do not provide accessory trays for hygiene and safety reasons.
You're welcome to use the restroom after your session to freshen up and put your accessories back on. Please also silence your phone and smartwatch before your appointment. If you must keep your phone accessible for emergency reasons, let your therapist know—your phone can be placed nearby under the table within reach.
7. What kind of modalities do you use during a Customized Therapeutic Massage session? Why is the price higher than a Relaxational Massage session?
- Customized Therapeutic Massage sessions are designed to address chronic pain, discomfort, and areas of dysfunction that cannot be fully treated in a general Relaxational Massage session. These sessions are more targeted and involve advanced clinical techniques based on your health intake and session goals.
Modalities may include:
-
Deep tissue techniques including Myofascial release, Trigger point therapy
-
Stretching, Joint mobilization
-
Posture Analysis, Injury assessment based treatment
-
Swedish techniques for integration and circulation, etc.
For a breakdown of modalities and how they may be used in your session, please refer to the Customized Therapeutic Massage Health Intake Form, which helps us tailor your care plan safely and effectively.
The pricing reflects the nature of the session:
-
It is more physically and mentally demanding for the therapist
-
It requires greater anatomical knowledge and clinical skill
-
Sessions are highly individualized and focused on therapeutic goals, not general relaxation
This ensures you receive effective, results-driven care that supports injury recovery, pain management, and long-term functional improvement.
8. How often do I need to come in for massage?
- We’re not medical doctors, so we don’t prescribe treatment frequencies. However, for pain related to old injuries or chronic tension, more frequent visits may be helpful in the beginning.
For example, after an auto injury or long-standing discomfort, starting with full-body Relaxational Massage twice a week (Dr. can prescribe this actually) can help release accumulated tension. As your body responds and pain becomes more localized, we can transition to Customized Therapeutic sessions focused on specific problem areas.
Over time, many clients find they can switch to shorter or less frequent sessions as they move into a maintenance phase—with longer stretches of pain-free days!
Ultimately, your time, budget, and goals determine the frequency. Your therapist may offer guidance based on your progress, but the choice is always yours. We offer a range of session lengths and price points to fit your needs.
Recovering from an old injury is often a long journey. It requires a mindset of “trust the process,” patience, and a willingness to celebrate small improvements along the way.
You might not be used to communicating in detail about how you’re feeling during or after a session—but that communication is essential to your recovery.
Noticing what helps—what feels better, what movement restriction return, what pain decreases—and sharing those insights with your therapist allows us to continually tailor your sessions to what works best for you.
Together, we’ll work toward lasting relief and a better quality of life—one step at a time.
